England and Doug lives in San
Jose. I enjoy gardening, reading and traveling to
visit my son in Europe and my family in South
Dakota.
I became very excited when I read
and
heard about a Pastoral Council.
The following statement from the book
"Revisioning The Parish Pastoral Council" directed
me
toward a new way of thinking about councils.
It
states that "when there is a clear awareness of a
"larger vision" proposed by the gospels and taught
by the Church,
a parish finds itself energized by a
sense of mission and
directed to matters that will
do more
than simply fill the annual calendar."
I believe that I can provide support and resources
which will help to
articulate the "larger vision", and enable
this
Pastoral Council and parish to continue it's
response to
Jesus' call of discipleship in today's
world.
