Volunteer Orientation

Volunteer Orientation was provided by Libby Echeverria, Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, Valley Homeless Health Care Program.

Orientation is required for all volunteers who will have direct contact with our shelter guests. Training is scheduled on May 22 and 29, 2018 at 7:30pm in the Sullivan Center. If you are not able to attend the training, please contact Sharon Aeria - or call 408-629-3030 x 117 to schedule a time. The orientation will acquaint you with what behaviors to expect, and how you can best handle any occurrences. Rules and procedures of the shelter will also be discussed.

All volunteers - for these positions - intake, overnight, medical, discharge and drivers are required to attend this orientation even if you were trained last year.

If you are dropping off food, doing laundry, or serving in another non face-to-face position, you are welcome to attend and learn more about the program, but your attendance is not required.

Many volunteers will be needed to support this effort. Children and youth under 18 years may volunteer with a parent or guardian. Click here to volunteer.

If you are not able to volunteer, please pray for the people we will shelter and that we can make a difference in their lives. You can make a cash donation by dropping it off at St. Julie Billiart Parish Office. To inquire about donations of goods, please contact  for more information and to inquire about what we need.
